A Structured Import Process

I

Consultation

You tell us what you are shipping, where it is coming from, and when it needs to land. We confirm whether an importer of record is the right route for your goods.

Compliance review

We classify your products under the Harmonized System, identify which authority governs them, and confirm what each one requires. Where a product is restricted or needs a license, you hear it here rather than at the port.

Approvals and documentation

Sector approvals are filed, your ACID number is raised in the Nafeza single window, and your invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin are reconciled against the declaration before anything ships.

Customs clearance

We lodge the entry as importer of record, settle duties and VAT on your behalf, and handle any query, valuation challenge, or physical inspection raised at the port. Your freight forwarder keeps moving the cargo while we deal with the authority.

Delivery

Once the entry is released, your goods move to their final destination in Egypt. You receive the cleared declaration and supporting documents for your own records, which matters if the shipment is ever revisited in an audit.

Classification before you ship

Your Harmonized System code sets your duty rate, your paperwork, and whether a regulator becomes involved at all. We settle it against your commercial documents in advance, and make sure your invoice and packing list describe the same goods in the same terms, because mismatches are the most common trigger for inspection. 

Exporter registration is checked first

Egypt requires foreign manufacturers and brand owners to be listed in the GOEIC register before certain goods can be imported at all. It is slow to obtain, and it stops first shipments. We check your status before you commit to a shipping date.

Approvals run alongside freight

Regulatory submissions and your advance cargo declaration are filed in parallel with your shipment schedule, not discovered as a blocker after the container has arrived.

The Authorities That Decide Whether Your Goods Enter

GOEIC — The General Organization for Export and Import Control runs import inspection, quality control, and the register of approved foreign manufacturers.
Nafeza — Egypt's single window for trade, through which your advance cargo declaration is raised before the goods leave origin.
NTRA — The National Telecom Regulatory Authority issues type approval for radio and telecommunications equipment. We handle those filings through our NTRA compliance service.
EDA — The Egyptian Drug Authority registers and approves medical devices and pharmaceutical products ahead of import.
NFSA — The National Food Safety Authority oversees food and food-contact products entering the Egyptian market.
